I was looking for a lightweight and inexpensive vest to wear for my bicycle commute to and from work. I leave for work at 4:30 AM, so I wanted something that would make me stand out. This vest was perfect. The lime green color provides day time visibility, while the wide reflective stripes make you stand out 360 degrees during non-daylight hours. I paid a little over $6.00 for this. It was a great value and a perfect solution to my problem at any price.
Great buy at a can't-complain price. We use these for taking the dog out walking at night. The L & XL are roomy enough to wear over bulky winter parkas. Work great - just as well as nearly identical & way-overpriced vests from running & biking gear companies. Speedy shipping, too!
Sturdy fabric, highly visible, lightweight, folds into a pocket without wrinkling, easy on/off with velcro strip in front. Makes me very visible in daylight, dusk, or dark. I never ride my bike without it. Write your name and family and doctor telephone #'s in it for extra safety, on the back side of the stripes with a laundry marker. Same exact vest is listed by many different vendors on Amazon, from $5.50 to over $20.00. Search for best price and shipping.
Not much to say. It works, it's good quality, and it's cheap. I use it for walking the dog on a windy dark road at night.

2 * 2 * 2 * 2 or pow(2, 4)?
Hi , I hope this isn't too trivial to ask, but I'm evaluating a polynomial that involve lots of terms like x^2y^2z^3, and although I can use the power function pow(a, b), I wonder if just writing x*x*y*y*z*z*z for example wouldn't be more efficient than pow(x, 2)*pow(y, 2)*pow(z,3). Using a class to handle the output of another class #2
Hello everybody! I'm having a little problem with the following: I wrote a class to collect data (Let's call it DataCollector). Now I want the data to be interpreted in various ways. My idea was to write an interface (iVisualizer) so DataCollector could use every user defined (MyVisualizer) class implementing it. Saying "MyVisualizer extends DataCollector" is not an option, since the data should only be collected once and then then being "rendered" by a variety of output classes (to XML, to plain text, to PDF, etc.). Here is the code example: <php> class DataCollector { private $data public function collectData ($someText) { // Write data here } public function output($visualizer) { $visualizer->output($this) } } class MyVisualizer implements iVisualizer { public function output ($dataCollector) { echo $dataCollector->data; } } $a = new DataCollector(); $b = new MyVisualizer(); $a->collectData("foo"); $a->output($b); </php> Now, obviously calling "$a->output($b);" will get me in trouble, since DataCollector::data is private. Making DataCollector::data public would make it easy, but also "unsafe". Adding get & set methods will add lots of methods, since $data is just an example for a large number of properties. I really hope to get some good ideas here. Thanks in advance! Oli ...

Class 2.0 fax works but not Class 1
I am using a U.S. Robotics V.92 Fax Win PCI modem under XP on a 2.2 GHz machine. It is updated to the latest firmware release, ver. 1.70. I get the same results using Winfax and the Windows fax utility. When set the modem to Class 1, it is unable to train approximately 1/3 of the standalone machines I call. It starts at 14400 and progresses down to 1200 and then gives the error message. When I set the fax to Class 2.0, the problem goes away. While I am happy to be back in business, I am told that there is an underlying problem that is not being addressed, which is worrisome. ...

classes in a class
I have a class that performs transformations on data streams. As written, the class constructor takes several parameters and a data-source to produce it's stream. I have the need to combine the output of two instances of this class to generate a third data stream. I have been accomplishing this by using a function outside the class that instantiates the two classes as the information needed to insta...
