I need to add a mate between a circle, and the centre point of a round
ended slot.
I've been trying to add some sort of reference line to the slot so I
can mate with the centre of that but without success.
Can someone tell me the way forward please...

i add a center line with a point at the midpoint of the centerline in the
slot feature sketh and then mate the fastener diameter contentric to the
sketch point. hth

There is a temp axis available at the center of the round end slot - I use
it.

I've added a centerline and a midpoint on that to slot sketch.
Then in the assembly, I've got show sketch on for the slot, so I can
utilise the midpoint.
However, my problem now, when I try to add a mate relationship between
the centre point of the slot, and the round extrude cut, SW says I
can't do that.
Also, just now, I was able to mate the hole to the one rounded end of
the slot, which is nearly there, but not what I want, yet now trying
to repeat this, I'm getting the same 'can't do that' message ???

Maybe I'm missing something, but it sounds like you have a part in an
assembly. Then you start a sketch on a face of that part. What you want is
a circular cut through the part that is concentric to the rounded end of the
slot. Correct? Like making a keyhole slot?
If so, when you put your sketch on the surface, and then start the circle
command, hover your cursor over the edge of the round end so it "wakes up"
the center point. Then click on that center point and drag your circle out.
This will establish a coincident relation of the new sketch circle & the
round end of the slot.

On the sketch for the slot, add a construction line from midpoint to
midpoint of the line segments (should also work from arc center to arc
center). Update, start a sketch and draw a circle, make sure to locate it
off the construction line in 1st sketch to make it easier to pick the center
of each. Now constraint the center of the circle to the midpoint of the
construction line. I think that maybe you were picking the same point twice
which can't be constrained together.
I hope this solves the problem

If it's two different sketches try this.
On your obround sketch add a construction line from the center point of one
arc to the center point of the other, and add a point to the mid point of
that construction line.
Now you should be able to locate the center of the circle in the circle
sketch to the point on the mid point of the obround sketch.

Thanks to all that offered help.
This one sparked a light on in the ol' grey matter.
I was nearly there, I'd added a line to the slot sketch and added a
midpoint. Then I was trying to mate the edge of the circle sketch
defining the extruded cut on the other part, which it couldn't deal
with.
So today I set the circle sketch to 'show' also, and selected the
center point of that circle, and Robert's your dad's bro...
Cheers guys!
