I am posting a series of steps 
to comp.compression so that 
there can be an external record 
of my efforts to create a 
sucessful copy of control codes 
to use in the "Down Pillow" 
compression algorithm as 
discussed earlier this year.

Please disregard these posts 
if you value your time; time 
is money of course.  You are 
warned up front, so don't 
accuse me of wasting your time.
Concern yourself only if I am 
sucessful.  If that time comes 
you will have access to everything 
you need to know in the archive.
But, if you are like me and love

Step 8 of 88

Use the MS-DOS SORT routine 
on the command line to 
sort each two-columned ascii 
line file created in the last 
step.  Each line in the file 
is ordered based on the 
randomized first column.

sort <DPC07_01.DAT >DPC08_01.DAT
sort <DPC07_02.DAT >DPC08_02.DAT
sort <DPC07_03.DAT >DPC08_03.DAT
sort <DPC07_04.DAT >DPC08_04.DAT
sort <DPC07_05.DAT >DPC08_05.DAT
