Hi,
I have located the VIDC listings in the Windows (XP) registry and
identified the FOURCC codes for each of the codecs and the associated
DLLs. I'm thinking that there must be a standard list of DLL entry
points for codecs that are used by Windows programs. Please tell me
where I can find a list of the standard entry points and descriptions
of the usage of the functions.
To make a long story short: I'm a software engineer looking for a way
to examine AVI/WAV files to check for possible illegal values causing
audio dropouts on a DVD.
Thanks much
Chuck

Isn't there a Win32 API for it ?
Anyhow, you may want to check the VirtualDub source code.
It's an open source Win32 application for editing AVIs.
