Right, some parts newly added are good but some other parts are not
much good compared to the previous google. I hope that since this is
something like soft-works, some time after service it will be improved
based on the feedback opinions. Other point is that always new one is
difficult to be good at although it is better, as it has been true for
almost every softwares.

oh man! I totally agree. The way they had it was so orderly, NOW it's stinking chaos. The
proverbial, "If it works don't fix it" should've been applied here.

I went and checked it few days ago. It totally sucked big time!

Yeah.. google groups Beta really sucks... i want the old google groups
back... or google just can create google usenet groups only.. suckss....

That's not a troll! That's the community's current feel-good rant.

The funniest thing is that I still know people (as in 100% of the 
plurality of people in the room where I now sit) who think that the 
_old_ google groups interface was _worse_ than the previous dejanews
interface!

So that's 2 wrongs google are now guilty of. And it sure as heck 
don't make a right. 

But forget about the interface - they've broken it so that it's hard
to read some posts by screwing up font selection. They try to use 
proportional fonts which outright fail on anything with source code 
in, anything with ASCII art in, or even anybodies aligned signatures. 
Worst of all is when they change font mid paragraph as they can't 
work out what font to use.

But forget about looks - they've fundamentally screwed functionality.
You can't meaningfully PGP sign most posts any more. Google rewrites 
posts, (it changes whitespace, and it rewrites various things) and 
therefore few PGP signatures will verify any more.

Maybe we are supposed to lose our previous right to transmit keys and
such.
Why should they allow that anyway?

This is a rant comment here but, I mean look at M$ they turned and OS
into a Utility where the owner never quits paying someone or everyone
just to turn on their #@! computers safely.

This new Beta still feels all wrong.
Maybe I hate change..
