Is there any special things to configure?
Which Servicepack is neccesary / recommended?

I am fairly new to Pervasive. What is the differnce between 2000 and
2000i?

Officially, the Pervasive.SQL 2000 product line was never supported on
Win2003 Server, to my knowledge, since it had already entered the
"transition support" phase when this OS shipped. However, it DOES
appear to work, at least for now. Microsoft may break it with another
SP, so it's not meant as a long-term solution.

Pervasive.SQL 2000 is the name to the original release through Service
Pack 2a. Pervasive.SQL 2000i is the name for Service Pack 3 and newer
revisions of the database. You should be on SP4 PLUS the HotFixes if
you can.

Pervasive.SQL 2000i was superceded by Pervasive.SQL V8 in 2002, and
support completely ended on June 30, 2004. Pervasive PSQL v9 has since
superceded PSQLV8, and PSQLV8 will become unsupported in September of
2006.
