FMP adv 902 on MACOSX 10.4.10 PPC.
I want to deactivatve thois box to activate another.

but when I try, after connexion to FMP's activation server, I've got a
"general activation error 50040".

FMP works very well, but don't deactivate...

If I want to activate the other box, I've the same error...

Does someone know ?

Those of us who communicate regularly with FMI told them activation was
a crappy idea, for exactly this reason, among many others.

Wait until Monday morning after working hours open in the Pacific time
zone, and call FMI support (the call should be free) to get them to
de-activate and straighten out your installation.

Oh, you wanted to *work* this weekend? Too friggin' bad.

If you have it, I recommend you work in FM 8 or 8.5 until Monday, at
which time you can register your dissatisfaction with the whole
activation issue.

Activation key classes?
Does anyone know of any freely-available or open-source classes for generating license keys or product activation keys? What I'd like is to be able to generate product activation keys that denote what functionality should be accessible in an application, similar to the keys found when you purchase a Microsoft product (for example). Has anyone come across a class like that? I'd really appreciate your help! Thanks! Steve Nakhla

kmeminfo error

If you don't need the core file, delete or move it and try again. Alternately tell kmeminfo what it is you want it to look at (kmeminfo -? gives usage) For the running system, that's kmeminfo /stand/vmunix /dev/kmem Don ps - Note that kmeminfo is not a supported tool, insert Rick Jones's standard disclaimer on supported stuff here.. Hi everybody , I am getting license error while running cadence . When I am running licence with lmgrd it gives following error [sabyasachi@jupiter ~]$lmgrd [sabyasachi@jupiter ~]$ 20:15:59 (lmgrd) ----------------------------------------------- 20:15:59 (lmgrd) Please Note: 20:15:59 (lmgrd) 20:15:59 (lmgrd) This log is intended for debug purposes only. 20:15:59 (lmgrd) In order to capture accurate license 20:15:59 (lmgrd) usage data into an organized repository, 20:15:59 (lmgrd) please enable report logging. Use Macrovision's 20:15:59 (lmgrd) software license...; license server systems running. 20:15:59 (lmgrd) Please kill, and run lmreread 20:15:59 (lmgrd) 20:15:59 (lmgrd) This error probably results from either: 20:15:59 (lmgrd) 1. Another copy of the license server manager (lmgrd) is running. 20:15:59 (lmgrd) 2. A prior license server manager (lmgrd) was killed with "kill -9" 20:15:59 (lmgrd) (which would leave the vendor daemon running). 20:15:59 (lmgrd) To correct this, do a "ps -ax | grep cdslmd" 20:15:59 (lmgrd) (or equivalent "ps" command) 20:15:59 (lmgrd) and kill the "cdslmd" process. 20:15

I've just started programming in java and when I try to compile the hello world program that came off of the java tutorial and it gave me the following error: helloworldapplet.java:8: class HelloWorld is public, should be declared in a file named HelloWorld.java public class HelloWorld extends Applet { ^ 1 error Here's the code for that program: import java.applet.*; import java.awt.*; /** * The HelloWorld class implements an applet that * simply displays "Hello World!". */ public class HelloWorld extends Applet { public void paint(Graphics g) { // Display "Hello World!" g.drawString("Hello world!", 50, 25); } } In article <1122415747.104124.301350@o13g2000cwo.googlegroups.com>, <Alex5222@everestkc.net> wrote: >I've just started programming in java and when I try to compile the >hello world program that came off of the java tutorial and it gave me >the following error: > >helloworldapplet.java:8: class HelloWorld is public, should be declared >in a file named HelloWorld.java Is your code in a file named HelloWorld.java? If not, it (probably) won't compile

If that's the case, I can't help you (but someone else probably can). I'd suggest you post the actual text of the error message, and be specific about what class uses JNI and what class you've replaced. Do you have the same problem if you run this from the command line? /gordon

pdftricks error
Hi all, As pst-pdf failed on me when I most needed it (in fact, I think the problem is in ps2pdf and not really in pst-pdf, but anyway...) I turned to check alternatives and found pdftricks. I found that it doesn't render a pstree at all. Here's the document: \documentclass{article} \usepackage{pdftricks} \begin{psinputs} \usepackage{pstricks} \usepackage{pst-tree} \usepackage{pst-node} \end{psinputs} \begin{document} \begin{figure}[ht] \begin{center} \pstree[levelsep=1.5cm, treefit=loose]{\Tdot}{ \Tcircle{$E$}\tlput{0} \pstree{\Tdot\trput{1}}{ \pstree{\Tdot\tlput{0}}{

Error in equation
Hi all, I am stumped with this. I have a simple equation in a LaTeX document. -------- $$P(p, q|n, m) = \sum^{n}_{u=p} \sum_{r=0}^q \frac{B(u,r|n,m)}{W(n,m)}$$ ------- When compiling it gives me a weird error, ------- ! Missing :' has been inserted ! This can't happen (copy). ------- If I remove the \sum's the errors go away. Thanks, -M On 03-05-2006 17:03, mickey wrote: > I am stumped with this. If I compile the document \documentclass[12pt]{article} \begin{document} $$P(p, q|n, m) = \sum^{n}_{u=p} \sum_{r=0}^q \frac{B(u,r|n,m)}{W(n,m)}$$ \end{document} I have no problem. What about you?
