Hi everyone,
Mac OS X (Panther), FMP 6 and 7.
I have some files that have 200-300 fields. Those fields were
initially worked out in XL (or Word). I worked all the process in XL,
naming my field with many cautions so that it would work perfectly in
FMP using the field alphabetic order. So all my fields are logically
following each other using the alphabetical order (easier to retreive
a field when you want to sort, import, export, etc...). No separator,
nothing. It is becoming quite difficult to update the XL File, witch
I consider as my book of reference between my client and myself. So
here is my question: I would like to be able to export my field
definition in XL with three colomns (exactly as if i was printing them
from the field definition option in the print dialog box): field name,
field type and Options/formula (Auto enter, formula). It would be so
easier. I checked the Design calculation fields and figured that it
would be possible to copy-paste my field name. I could also be able
to export some records and retreive my field name. But I would like
the three columns format. I tried to save a PDF file into a RTF file:
to much work to clear the file.
Any hints,
Thanks, A+

Is it somehow posible to open the files in classic instead??? You
might turn applescript to speak via "text capture Fkey" and prefab
player:
