FM 10 New window is not a smooth transition

  • Follow

I am have a CASH FLOW table that documents all my Payables. I also
have a Cheque Log table that documents my cheque book. When I am on
the CASH FLOW layout I might want to write a cheque to cover a
Payable. I have a script attached to a button. The script is, New
Window. Go to layout, Resize window. The script is very choppy in its
execution. The Cheque Log window opens, is covered by the original
Cash Flow layout, but then reappears in front of this same layout. So
I get what I want but I cannot understand why the Cash Flow window
should come to the front and then go backwards. Is there an obvious
reason to this. There are no script triggers involved.

Thanks

It might help to be able to see the actual script. Is there a Select
Window step that might be in there? To resize the window, are you using
the Adjust Window script step to resize to fit? Or are you setting the
window to a specific size using Move/Resize Window?

Try using a Freeze Window step as the first step in your script and let
us know if that helps.
