Hello.  I am running Filemaker Pro 7.0v3 on Windows XP SP2.  I have
defined a Generic / Text Only printer that goes to the FILE: device.
However, when I try to print anything from FileMaker to a file, the
file's contents are empty except for carriage returns (or line breaks,
I can't tell - what appears in Notepad are empty squares).

I can print from other apps like Notepad, Excel etc without a problem.

Any suggestions?

OK, I see from the knowledge base that this does not work for FM
Versions 2 through 5.  I presume it doesn't work in FM 7 either?

BTW - what I am trying to do is create a text IIF file for a QuickBooks
import.  It looks like I will have to do an export to CSV and then use
an Excel macro to add the fields that I need to the file so it can be
imported into Quickbooks.
