FMP6 and 8
on a Mac G5 (OSX 10.4.2), FMP 8adv is VERY slow whne FMP 6dev is opened
in the same time.
did you notice that ?

Are they both set to share files via peering, via IWP, etc?
If so there is likely a delay leading to a lengthy timeout while trying
to set up a listener on a port which is already in use by the other
filemaker.
