Fonts and Filemaker

  • Follow

Hello all

I have a database create with Filemaker that takes so long to open. It's a
very simple database so I don't understand why take so long time.
Suddenly one day I open this same file and it open quickly. What happens?
I notice that this time I don't have Suitcase open. Then I quit Filemaker,
start Suitcase and start this database again, and I saw in Suitcase a lot of
auto-activated fonts.
The question is...
In this file I only have one or two fonts, why then Suitcase auto-activate a
lot of fonts? How can I "remove" this font information from the database
file?

Thanks in advance
(Excuse me if I don't write english well, I'm from Spain.)

I hope you do have FMP6. Next time please state which filemaker you own and
if it is Mac or Windows

In the menu find FORMAT
now find FONTS
Firsdt item under fonts is configure/more fonts
Remove all the fonts you don't need at the right collumn (higklight them and
click the button CLEAR

Ok, You're alright, I work with Filemaker 7 Mac version.
In Mac version the option "configure more fonts" doesn't exist.

I've tried with a Filemaker 6 Windows version, but I think that option it's
only for show or hide fonts in the font menu, not the fonts stored in the
file.
