Help error code 102 (missing field)

Hi,

When I try to create a new record throught the web, I get an message
telling me "field missing" with a code error 102.

Any idea ???

My first guess would be that there is a field required in th eFileMaker 
field definitions, but that field doesn't appear on your web layout.

My next (and probably more accurate, assuming you are using *custom* web 
publishing) guess would be that your web form is trying to include a 
fieldthat doesn't exist in your database.  Maybe it's spelled wrong, or 
it just doesn't exist the web layout in the database.

It's true that I've got field that don't appear in my "web layout" but
they appear in the other layouts.
Should I split my database, one for the web and one for local users ?
or any other idea !!!

This error generally means that there is a field missing from the layout. 
Check your layout and make sure that all of the fields you are submitting to in
your form exist in that specified layout.

Also check your spelling it needs to be exact.

Incredible, I've found the problem, but it was somewhere else. I had
in my layout some text with 2 merged fields, and THAT was the problem
!!! Conclusion: FMP doesn't like merged fields at all when published
on the web !!!!
