FM7 on OSX. I've got a SalesOrder table and layout with a portal
showing SalesLineItems. The portal contains PartID and Description,
among other fields. Description is set to Lookup from a third table
(Inventory) based on Part ID. This system works fine except in one
circumstance.
When a user goes directly from entering SalesOrder info to entering the
PartID in SalesLineItem, the Lookup doesn't work. Simply clicking on
the empty space in the layout solves the problem. But tabbing or
clicking directly doesn't. In fact, I can create go through the portal
adding in PartIDs and the Lookup won't work unless I click on a
'blank' space.
Anyone else encounter this? I assume it Commit-based, but wouldn't
entering a PartID, thereby creating a new record via the portal count
as a Commit?
