Hello All,
Win2000pro with developer 6.04 on high speed cable.
When I try to work remotely on several related files and try larger tasks
like duplicate a layout or create a new layout I get a the squigly line for
about 20 seconds and then:
"Communication with the host was interrupted and could not be re-established
[-20]" filemaker error.
Any thoughts on how to eliminate this problem? When I go to my co-workers
home (45 minute drive) and log in remotely there is no problem. This is
driving me nuts!
regards,
Pierre Lessard.

It sounds as though you may have a faulty internet connection at your home.
Either the ISP is having problems with their line, or there is a problem in
the network at your home (in the modem, switch, hub, or DHCP server, cable,
or network cards).
If the internet connection "hiccups" or drops momentarily, it will disrupt
communication with the FileMaker host and throw the error you're receiving.

I had the same problem start up yesterday, except I have a DSL line
and it came up on trying to load a database and when running certain
scripts. Everything I've seen and heard points to an ISP problem too,
but they're denying it.
