Send Mail script step crashes FileMaker
Since our upgrade from FMP 6.5 to FMP 9, the SendMail script step
completely crashes FileMaker on Windows XP.
However with FMP 6.5 it works fine.
The problem is not user dependant but machine dependant, becasue it
occurs on a complete series of our computers (6 pieces).
Another series has no problem with this script step.
Both series are identically configurated; FMP9.03 + Outlook Express as
the default MAPI message mailer.
Does somebody know a fix (not a work-around with the mailto URL) for
this issue?

Try wiping one, reinstalling xp, filemaker 9v3, and testing it.
There obviously -is- something different between the two sets of
computers.

YES! I solved the problem myself.
This missing part was a Mail section within the win.ini file (for 16-bit
app support).
[Mail]
MAPI=1
CMC=1
CMCDLLNAME=mapi.dll
CMCDLLNAME32=mapi32.dll
MAPIX=1
MAPIXVER=1.0.0.1
OLEMessaging=1
With kind ragards,
