I can't remember how to do it. Looked in the documentation but it's not real
clear to me.

FMP 5.5 Mac.

Thanks in advance!

Create a layout. In Layout Setup, change the layout name to a hyphen "-"

After you exit the layout, you will only be able to revisit the layout
by paging through the layouts in Layout mode using the rolodex. You can
move it in the list using Layout Order.

Hello
I guess that you want your layout like this:
File
List
-
info
new , etc..

so just create a new layout with nothing on it and name it:
-

that's it !

I'm on a Mac FMP 5.5

When I do what you suggested I have to select a theme.

In my popup layout menu the "-" shows up along with that blank theme. I've
tried - as well.

One of the themes is "blank layout" - that's the one you probably want. By
naming it "-", no name shows up in the layout list, but there is a blank
space. As mentioned in another post, you can't select that layout but will
have to page to it using the rolodex. It essentially serves as a space
delimiter.
