file permissions on files created with lotofile

when using lotofile the files created (on linux)
get permissions 600 owned by informix:informix.
this prohibits scenarios where for example a web server
will be able to read these files by being in the same group
as the directory, with group sticky bit on, where these files
get created. normally the sitcky bit would make sure the file
created in that directory would be accessible by members
of the same group. the functions neither follows permissions
as set by umask during server startup.

1. can these permissions be controlled through informix?
2. any suggestions for above mentioned scenario?

any help appreciated

"mysql --xml" outputs in XML format. You can then filter using an XSLT template to produce your HTML files. See http://www.zvon.org/xxl/XSLTutorial/Books/Book1/index.html for a tutorial on XSLT. setting default file permissions for every file created
Hi Not sure if this is the right group for this questions, so apologies in advance. My problem is that I have a small 3 Mac network set up, and I want to have a central file server on one of the machines, so that any file created on any machine can be accessed, modified and saved without having 3 copies of it floating around. I have set up the network so all mahines can see the folder I wish to use and I have created a group with each user in it, using sharepoints, allowing the R&W permission for that folder. But as soon as I create a file (say a word doc) it is given only read only pe...

Hi, Is there a way to (with the win32 api) create a file handler which will detect when a user is attempting to open a file and then write some code to do some business rule checks and set the files permissions and then continue with the opening process? Write to text file. Append to existing file. Create file if file doesn't exist.
Hi folks, up to LabVIEW 7 there was a wonderful "Write to Text File" vi which allowed the option "Append to File". Now, in LabVIEW 8, this old vi is not longer supported anymore. Instead, I am suggested to use a new "Write to Text File" vi. This vi does not offer the option "Append to File" anymore. Rather it is proposed in the online help that one should use the "Set File Position" in order to append text to the file. This much less straightforward than the old solution. Furthermore, I miss an option which would create the ...

What is better /standard for creating files. a cpp file with header or cpp and seperate file for header

Iteration through File.file? misses entries for which File.file?(entry) == true
Hello everyone, I'm new to Ruby, so I'm most likely making an elementary mistake. However, searching Google didn't help me find my answer, and after mucking around with irb I still haven't figured it out. I wrote a method that was intended to take all of the files in a given directory and put them into an array. Here's the code I wrote: def getFiles(dir) pwdFiles = Array.new Dir.foreach(dir) do |entry| pwdFiles.push(entry) if File.file?(entry) == true end end This works fine when called on the working directory --- that is, getFile...

create RTF file from ASCII file
Hi SAS Users I have recently faced the problem: I had to create RTF file from ASCII file with the following specifications: 1. Landscape orientation 2. Left margin=1.1in 3. Right margin=0.5in 4. Top margin=1in 5. Bottom margin=0.5in 6. Font=SAS Monospace 7. Font size=8 8. Space between lines=exactly 7.6pt 9. How to create an archive with files from a list in a file ?
I have a file "mylist.txt" where all files are listed which should be added to the new archive. For this add operation I used the command line interface for either rar resp. 7zip. In both cases the compression programs do NOT recognize files with embedded blanks successfully. Is there another way to add these files (with blanks in their filenames). Do I really have to replace each line in the list by enclosing double quotes? I guess there must be an option in each of the compression programs to treat a complete line as ONE file name. Copying Files and retaining File Permission
