Finderr says:
$ finderr -27003
-27003 Internal Communications Error: internal inconsistency detected.
The IBM Informix client/server communication system has detected an
internal inconsistency. Typically, a client application reports this
error. This error might be a memory-corruption error due to a
programming bug. If the database server or a utility reported the
error, it is an Informix internal error. When an Informix internal
error occurs, note all circumstances and contact IBM Technical Support.
So, follow the recommendation and call tech support. Likely, since you are
running 11.50xC1, this is a known bug and there is an upgrade with the fix
available for download.

I already have the C5W4 fix in a test server but was wondering what's
happening when that error comes up. I haven't seen any visible
symptoms or reports of errors from any users.
thanks

The error message means that some internal data structure was overwritten
and failed in internal consistency check. If it wasn't repairable the
engine would have shutdown.
