Pretty sure we've seen the same problem on R3; I believe the fix may have
been to install the correct C compiler, fix up the path or LD_LIBRARY_PATH,
or possibly something to do with the abflnk.opt file. Only the last
possibility applies if you are doing an upgrade, preserving the II_SYSTEM
onto the same machine & OS. Can you compile the ESQL/C program without
make?
