MSysConf file now appears - comp.databases.ms-access

I have been accessing a remote SQL database via MS Access for several months now, but recently it has failed with an error about being unable to find the MSysConf table. Other collegues of mine can access the remote database without the table. My question is a) Why has this suddenly started happening? b) how do I turn this feature off without having to create the MSysConf table in the remore database? Many thanks Phil
