Connection from Oracle Developer Suite 10g 9.0.4.0.1 to Oracle DB 10g Release 10.1.0.2.0

Hi,
I have installed Oracle DB 10g Release 10.1.0.2.0 on Windows XP.
START->ALL PROGS->oracle-OraDb10g_home3
Location of TNSNAMES FILE:
C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_3\NETWORK\ADMIN\TNSNAMES.ORA
with two alias:
1)ORCL3
2) EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA

I can logon to database via SQL*PLUS and I can log on to EM on the web
as well using ORCL3.

After that I installed Oracle Developer Suite 10g 9.0.4.0.1 to my the
same computer.
During installation it was not allowing me to install this suite to the
same ORACLE home.
I installed this in the following home:
START->ALL PROGS->oracle Developer Suite-DEFAULT_HOME_1
Location of TNSNAMES FILE:
C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\TNSNAMES.ORA
with two alias:
1) EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA
2) ORCL3

Here is the problem whenever I try to logon to ORCL3 via SQL*PLUS
9.0.1.4.0( DEVELOPER SUIT):
START->ALL PROGS->oracle Developer Suite-DEFAULT_HOME_1->Application
Development-> SQL Plus

OR to
START->ALL PROGS->oracle Developer Suite-DEFAULT_HOME_1->Designer->
oracle Desiger

I get following error:

ORA-12154 TNS:Could not resolve Service name

I used user
Scott/*******@ORCL3
and I tried this as well:
Scott/*******@EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA

I appreciate any help in this matter.

copy
C:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\TNSNAMES.ORA
to the Developer Suite-DEFAULT_HOME_1\network\admin direcory.
Or lookup tns_admin on google

Hello Frank,

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried copying TNSNAMES.ora from DB home
to DEV home but no luck. Here is some more info about my system and
..ora files.

Out of frustration I Deinstalled and re-installed both database items
in this following order:

DEVELOPER SUITE first
and DB 10g Second

Please reveiw them and recommend any new ideas. I appreciate it.

Hello Frank,

Thanks for your help. Earlier I was copying TNSNAMES.ora file from DB
to DEV but not working. Now I copied this following file from DB to DEV
home:
sq=ADlnet.ora for Oracle DB 10g Rel  10.1.0.2.0

Now it is working. I appreciate your feedback.

Aka

I was about to say: loose the ezconnect, ldap and whatever in
sqlnet.ora; you have just tnsnames.
And your SDU_SIZE may be too much for windows. I've seen the
Windows tcp stack choke on sizes much smaller than that.

I would bet on the default domain, or SDU_SIZE.
