I can connect to VPN using client 4.7.00.0533 fine. I can remote
desktop and ping machines but I can't map a network drive. I have
copied my networks host file to my PC and the problem still exists. I
have tried changing the user to my user account on the domain when
mapping the drive but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

Name resolution problem.
WINS Server...
default Netbios name resolution does not use hosts file, but lmhosts
instead.
