Cisco SIP Proxy Server

Hello:

Does anyone have experience on working with Cisco SIP Proxy Server in a VOIP
project? I have some questions, such as can you use a Cisco AS5300 with it?
does the CSPS generate CDR's? and if so, in what format are these CDR's?

Any help is appreciated.

Cisco SIP Proxy Server question
Hi, I'm using a Cisco SIP Proxy server with a number of Cisco SIP Phones. THE PROBLEM: - Let's say a user A is making a call. - At ANY point, we would like to be able to temporarily deliver a voice message on that same conversation. If impossible, we'd like the present conversation to go on hold, while we're delivering a voice message to this user. Could you please suggest a possible solution that you have seen working? Thank you very much in advance. Keywords: SIP call notification, alert, interruption, on hold. ...

Re: Cisco AS5300 registering to a SIP Proxy Server
Hello, Does any one know the command to make a Cisco AS5300 register itself to a SIP Proxy Server. I'm to get the following setup to work: Cisco ATA 186 ---- NAT/FW ---- SIP Proxy Server --- Cisco AS5300 --- Telco Switch First of all is there a better way to set it up. Am I missing a device like a gatekeeper? What I have working is the Cisco ATA 186 registering to the SIP proxy and if I try to out pulse a call from the ATA 186 I get a no route because there is no device terminate the call. Any help would be appreciated. -- Matteo D'Amato Intelco Communication Inc. Hello! Cisco 796xs SIP Backup proxy
Hi all, I have question about how the SIP backup proxy function works in Cisco handsets. Im using both 7960 and 7961G. Im connecting them to 2 Asterisk servers (dont shoot me!!) and they work, very well, Asterisk1 is primary proxy and ASterisk 2 is backup proxy. I know that they are B2BUA not true SIP proxies, but Im not sure thatshould make any difference. All handsets register to both Asterisk servers, they register to Asterisk1 first and a telnet or ssh to the phone and a "#show config" on the phones show that they are registered to the backup. Problem is that when i drop ...

Hi, I have a static IP address from my ISP. I also have a router with a built in Modem so I plug the router into the telephone line. If I make a direct connection from my router to my PC with the following addresses on my PC everything works fine, I get a connection to the internet (can view webpages): IP: 194.97.248.40 Subnet: 255.255.255.250 Default Gateway: 194.97.248.39 Preferred DNS : 193.167.64.5 Alternate DNS : 194.97.230.30 As soon as I connect my Cisco 501 PIX in between the PC and the router, I don't get any internet connection. Here are the steps I am following to configure the firewall, so please guide me where I am going wrong: I start the PDM by going to https://192.168.1.1/startup.html Once started and authenticated get the Basic Configuration and I leave the default values ( PIX Host Name = pixfirewall, Domain Name: ciscopix.com) On the next page "Outside Interface Configuration" I leave the "Speed to Auto" and I select "static IP address" and input the following details IP 194.97.248.40, Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.250 and Default Gateway: 194.97.248.39 On the next page I leave the remote VPN page empty On the next page I also leave the Auto update Configuration empty On the next page "Other Interfaces Configuration I can see the Inside and outside interface settings and the inside has a security level of 100 and the outside has 0. On the next page "NAT and PAT Configuration" I select "do not trans...

Cisco 6513 to Cisco 3750G Vlans
Hi all, A very simple question here. I have a 6513 which has multi vLans running on it. I have just created a new vLan (12) which I am trying to connect to a Cisco 3750G. I have created a vlan on the 3750G (12) and given it an IP address of 10.228.200.2, on the 6513 vlan 12 has the IP address 10.228.200.1. 10.228.200.1 is the default gateway of the 3750G and I have turned on IP Routing. I can ping both IP's form any other Vlan on my network, but, if I place a workstation into another port on the 3750G on the same subnet (10.228.200.x/24)I cannot get to it! Just a note, I can get to both wo...

Cisco Lab & Free Cisco Software
Folks: Recently I bought a used CCIE CISCO lab from EBAY. To save money I did NOT buy NEW routers directly from CISCO. My plan now is to start the CISCO certification process by preparing for both CCDA and CCNA. Next, I intend to move up to CCNP & CCIE. Here are a few questions: * Does this purchase entitle me to MORE CISCO resources than what is available with a Guest login ? * What CISCO login category is available to me as a result of my EBAY purchase of used equipment ? * Am I entitled to IOS updates ? If so, where are these available ? ...

Cisco 831 VPN to Cisco 3030 Security
I'm planning on deploying Cisco 831 VPN routers and having them connect to the Corp office over a DSL connection to a Cisco 3030. I'm curious how others handled security to keep unwanted users out. This of course assumes you have split tunneling off and there is a branch office type setup. I'm trying to figure out how to have some sort of login/password challenge to keep one of our remote users family members from plugging in a laptop or similar system and connecting to our network. The DHCP will only serve up one usable IP address from the 831 but you never know. Any help is m...

Cisco 837 and Cisco VPN client wierdness.. any ideas?
With my current configuration I can VPN connect from anywhere on the web and authenticate as a local user with an 837 router. Once auth'd the VPN client is allocated an IP from the vpn pool. From a VPN connected laptop I can ping any address on the LAN and any other machine on the LAN can ping the IP the VPN client has been allocated. However I can't access all resources via all protocols on all machines. This part is inconsistent and has me baffled. e.g. from a VPN client I can mount SMB shares on 192.168.16.250 but I can't see the webserver (:80) on the same IP). From a LAN connected laptop I can see the webserver running on the VPN client (192.168.17.x:80). However the VPN client can't see a webserver on the same LAN connected laptop (192.168.16.10:80). This is my first ever contact with Cisco gear and while i'm quite chuffed with getting as far as I have on setting this box up.. i'm now way out of my depth on working out what the problem is. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
