DC Input on Cisco 2900XL

  • Follow

Hello,

I have just been given a 'dead' Cisco Catalyst 2900XL that I would very
much like to use in my own lab. The internal power supply on it has
blown so I would like to use the DC Input connection on the back and
connect it to a standard ATX power supply because its 5/12v would do
the trick. Unless somebody knows of just a simple adapter, but I have
been scouring the net and can't find one.

The issue is that I need to know the pinouts of the DC Input receptacle
on the back of the switch.

Anybody know them or know where I can find them?

Cheers and thanks in advance!

Google for "site:cisco.com RPS pinout"

Cisco is amazingly good at documenting their pinouts for everything
external to the box. (ie. you won't find pinouts for say your internal
power supply, but if it hooks up externally like the RPS port you will).
They don't necessarily tell you what all the pins mean though :(
