I am hoping someone can help with this problem
We currently have 2 DECNet hosts on opposite sides of a single Cisco
router. I have the following config on that router which works fine...
decnet routing 6.200
decnet node-type routing-iv
decnet cost 5
decnet cost 5
We are moving to a more complex intersite IP network which looks more
SiteAHost <> SiteARtr <> TelcoSiteARtr <> TelcoMPLSWAN <>
TelcoSiteBRtr <> SiteBRtr <> SiteBHost
I have control over both SiteARtr and SiteBRtr but none of the Telco
equipment although they "assure" me that they support DECNet.
If I simply duplicate the existing commands on the new Site A and B
routers, will it work? Is there anything else I need to do? Will the
Telco need to add anything to their configuration?

Would seem to me to be vanishingly unlikely that a
current provider would support DECnet. Unless you get
a Layer 2 service from them in which case they do not "see"
the DECnet (L3) traffic.
One option might be to do your own L2TPv3 tunnel or
maybe you can tunnel DECNet over IP. Not sure.

Ask them for confirmation in writing (a proper letter
through the post) from their Chief
Technology Officer that they will support
your proposed DECNet solution.

You could certainly do DECNet over GRE at one time, though I'm beginning
to wonder how much longer Cisco will support these "legacy" protocols.
Seems to me they gave notice several IOS versions ago that a number of
protocols (including DECNet) were going away, but only Vines actually
went. On the other hand I thought I'd noticed that DECNet-specific
commands had become more hidden lately, with even the simple shows
requiring a privileged mode.

This is with CC. With gcc or g++ it does not have this problem. cc has
the problem too but with a larger number in the array.
Is it the compiler/linker bug or it purify making things up?

Problem with date() Can anyone help?
Here is what I have (part, at least)
echo $dbResult[$i]["sender"] . ' ' . $dbResult[$i]["subject"] . ' ' .
$dbResult[$i]["timestamp"] . " " .
date("M j, Y, g:i a", $dbResult[$i]["timestamp"]) . '<br>';
Here is what it puts out (formatted here to make it easier for you to read)

Problem with MySQL (??) Hi.
I started local apache ( v.2.0) server on my desktop computer.
I've installed php (v.5) and MySQL (v.5) I wrote php script that connects to
MySQL server and everything was O.K. But then I tried to do the same thing
on my laptop so (Apache 2.2 php 5 and MySQL 5) I've impotrted database to my
laptop and everything seemed to be ok. When I started php script it didin't
return any database record.
Could anyone give me some ideas why it doesn't work?

INTERFACE problem Hi All,
I have next problem. I use Compaq Fortran 6.5.
I try to declare an interface to a function. the function must return
a pointer to my own type. I wrote
! other field will be added later
FUNCTION F1N ()
TYPE(MYDATA), pointer :: F1N
TYPE(MYDATA), pointer :: PD
PD => F1N()
end program test
The function itself (F1N) is not defined here (it must be a C langauge
coded function) , but the problem is at another... that
implements it - though I've heard such things exist). If someone would
like me to take a shot at that, I'll try (in a separate posting because
I want to move on to something else right now - and only if asked), but
I repeat - it won't help solve a problem today.
As an aside, I also recommend against functions that return pointers,
even without the complication of C-Fortran interop. I recommend using
subroutines instead. In fact, I consider that a strong enough
recommendation that I decline to help people do functions that return
pointers. If they need my help to do
SQL Problem I'm having difficultiy pulling back an application id that has a note
attached, which has not been viewed. I think I've gone wrong in my
Right Join, but cann't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
Basically there are three tables, and application table, a notes table
and a notes viewed table. All tables are linked via their primary key
FROM crm_applications a
JOIN crm_notes n ON ( n.crm_application_id = a.id )
RIGHT JOIN crm_notes_viewed v ON ( v.crm_notes_id = n.id )
WHERE a.broker_id = '21'
AND v.id IS NULL

Your intentions are not completely clear, but assuming your want
to search for files containing these strings in turn use something
along the lines of:
find . | xargs fgrep "open"
plotting problem SW 2005 SP 0.1 WIN2K plotting to HP Designjet 500 HP-GL.
I wanted a 1=1 C size plot, loaded the sheet in the plotter in
"profile" and selected landscape in SW page setup. Margins were off
and only plotted 90% of the drawig. I fixed the problem by loading the
sheet in the plotter in "lanscape" and plotting in "landscape".
That means I cannot plot to D-size on this plotter using SW. Has
anyone tried and had success with loading the sheet in profile and
plotting in landscape?
Thanks in advance.
JMagick problem Hi,
I downloaded the JMagick binaries from http://www.yeo.id.au/jmagick/.
I installed ImageMagic and copied the jmagick.dll and jmagick.jar to
my hard disk.
My java program compiles, but when run, it gives the following error:
C:\eclipse\workspace\Thumbnails\lib\jmagick.dll: Can't find dependent
I guess the jmagick.dll can't find the ImageMagic dll's that are in
the default folder: C:\Program Files\ImageMagick-5.5.7-Q8
What do I have to do to solve this?

linearization problem Hi,
I have a file that was linearized with a poplular linearization tool
that causes problems reading in the file in the browser plugin in

The file is posted @
can anyone spot the problem?

Which tool did you use for linearizing the file? It seems that
the page offset hint table in the hint stream is severely

There may be more problems, but a severe issue is that
the page offset hint table does not observe implementation
note 127 (in the PDF 1.4 reference). This note says that
the entries for item 8 and 9 will be ignored by Acrobat.
However, the linearization info in your file would only
work if these entries are interpreted.
Needless to say that offer a PDF linearization library which
