Setting up a DMZ in Cisco 2600?

  • Follow

I want to set up a DMZ to protect a server. I have a cisco 2600 with 2
ethernet ports..
what do I need to do?
I was told to conigure on of the ports as a real IP address(IE
209.x.x.x) and then set the server to a 10.x address. then give
people the 209.x.x.x number that I configured one of the ethernet
ports as to access the server.. what do I put on the other enternet
port? ahould I condifure it with a 10.x address and then how do I tell
the router to do he DNZ or NAT so when someone goes to the 209 # it
will go to the server on the 10.x address?

I am plugging the server directly into one of the router ports.. and
the other router port into our network..
