trunking 3750 & 2950

is it correct to give 2 ip addresses on the same VLAN ID interface
no matter they are on different switches ? i.e

2950 : int vlan A ip address x.x.x.x m.m.m.m
3750 : int vlan A ip address y.y.y.y m.m.m.m

You can do it but that doesn't mean you should. What are you trying to
achieve?

In general, each vlan should be a separate subnet and all the addresses
within a vlan should be in the same subnet.

oops sorry that this is not seen by the example they are in the same
subnet,
x.x.x.5/24 and x.x.x.10/24
just what i was worring is that they are the same vlan-interface (A).
i.e does vlan-interface is inter-switch proprietes or per-switch.
