BCM 200 lost password and system reset
One of our federal accounts has a BCM 200. We've tried endlessly to
determine what the original programmer set the system passwords to. We
can program the system from a telephone (using the default **SYSTEM -
CONFIG password.) However, when we try to access the BCM from the web
interface or serial port, we are unable to get in. We've tried the
defaults (PlsChgMe!, etc.) but cannot get in using ee_admin or
supervisor.
We are considering doing a complete reset of the system. (There aren't
that many users at this time.) My primary concern is losing the
keycodes that are already in there. Of course, we do not have the
original keycode documentation. Without access to the web interface,
can that information be backed up? Does it need to be backed up if we
reset the system - or does it stay with the machine?
Anyone have any ideas on reseting the password? Everyone I've talked
to says Nortel has to get involved.

Keycodes are all on nortel.com and can be regenerated any time you
need them. If you were an authorized Nortel dealer you should know
this. Since you probably aren't, just sell your customer Nortel
support through a Nortel dealer and get the password reset. It is
very cheap for basic BCM200 maintenance.
