Help needed with TMS320c6713 dsp starter kit
Hello everybody
I am going to implement an algorithm using the TMS320C6713 DSP STARTER KIT.
I am looking for some recommendations on relevant litterature to read, good
websites to check out, downloadable programs/litterature etc.
Are there anybody out there who can point me in the right direction?
Thanks :o)

Do you need help with:
Picking a project?
Understanding the algorithms needed?
Getting the software tools to run?
Learning to use them?
Learning the programming language?
Add whatever I missed, prune my list of irrelevancies, and report back.

I would throw away the TMS320C6713 DSP Starter Kit and get a ADSP-21262
based board ;-)

Entirely so. Here is a paraphrase:
Hello Joe
I am going to implement a vacation in a conversion van.
I am looking for some recommendations on relevant literature to read,
good websites to check out, downloadable programs/literature etc.
Is there anybody out there who can point me in the right direction?
How might you usefully respond to that?

Well. I am sorry about that. But as you might be able to guess I am
a newbie in this field so please excuse me.
I have just started working on a project about noise suppression in speech
signals using spectral subtraction.
That's why I am looking for papers, notes and tutorials about noise
suppression in speech signals using spectral subtraction. I am especially
interested in documents that describe the relevant theories in an intuitive
way. Documents that give examples of algorithms that suppresses noise in
speech signals based on spectral subtraction would be excellent to have.
When I have designed an algorithm I will first have to implement and test it
in matlab. If I get good results I will implement the algorithm on a
hardware platform (TMS320C6713 DSP starter kit). I have not worked with this
board before. So I am also looking for tuturials on this board - documents
that a newbie would benefit from reading!
I hope this clarifies my initial question :o)

You just moved in right direction ;)
You just gave a LOT more information than you think.

I see nothing that needs to be excused. So no! :-)

Sorry, but I can't help with that.

That's specific enough so that someone who knows the subject can help.

Joe,
try this:
-> http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/
-> Search -> basic
-> "spectral" AND "subtraction"
Returns: "Your search matched 291 of 1123491 documents."
If you are from a university, chances are that you get free access to
these papers.
If you are serious about this, you might want to joint up to the IEEE
Member Digital Library. It contains many articles back to the 40ies
which were published under in IEEE (or ARE, or whatever) journals and
proceedings.
Regards,
Andor

For the 6713DSK, you could take a look at the tuitorial in the CCS
help.
If you met questions, you may come here to ask or just google in the
groups.
There are many nice DSP guys. I started from that very good tuitorial,
and also got a lot from these guys.
