Motion estimation in MATLAB

Dear all,

I want to test my motion estimation algorithm againest other popularly
known ME algos. I have my algorithm code in MATLAB.

How can I get the other ME algorithms in MATLAB. If you know any
links...please send to me.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Ramya.

Ramya,

since you can't expect people to do your work your request will not
likely get an answer.
Try http://www.google.com/search?q=motion+estimation+matlab to find a
few pointers yourself.

The "external device" could be a lot of things. I will assume that it is an x-y device such as a mouse with a crosshair attached to it - so you only need to interpret what the mouse is doing in x and in y - the same as is done with any number of computer programs. Next step: how to get from serial mouse to Matlab? Perhaps a simple mouse position-reading program in C/C++ that interfaces to Matlab? That might get rid of any low-level serial port reading requirements. Shape and edge position are two different things, aren't they? Did you have some processing or processing requirement specifically in mind? Does this have to be in real time or might some interim program do a good part of the job for you? Fred ...

Parameter estimation in Matlab?
Hi, I have the following formula representing a physical system: a = K1*arctg[K2*(w1-K3*w2)/(w1+K3*w2)] Known constants ===> w2 Unknown constants ===> K1, K2, K3 That is, "w1" input generate "a" output. Through experimentation I have a table ("w1","a"). Is there any command in matlab to find the parameters K1, K2, K3 using this table ("w1","a") ?? Thank You so much!!! Maximum Likelihood Estimation in MATLAB

It also would be great if you provided a simple illustrative example. I have spatial econometrics toolbox from Prof. Lesage. I know how to run basic OLS. But I need MLE estimation of the parameters of a linear regression model. Suppose I have Y column vector and X matrix, what do I do next? Do I have to first define likelihood function somehow? Question about DSP in Matlab (beginner)
Hi, I'm starting to learn DSP (Matlab )and I have two questions about it, maybe someone can help me out? I'm trying to measure a frequency from an Audio Device and I'm using FFT to transform it from the time domain to the frequency domain. But I am doing a downsample before the FFT. But you can also do it after the FFT. Do you know what would be the most efficient (before or after)? And why? Another question, I am using zero padding to increase my system resolution (up to 50Hz). My frame length is N=256 and sample frequency fs= 44100 Hz. So 44100/50 = 882, so I need to add 626 zeroes (to 256 frame length) to get 50 Hz resolution, I hope this is correct? I believe this is done for FFT. But is this the same for the DFT? Thank you and regards, --------------------------------------- Posted through http://www.DSPRelated.com >Hi, > >I'm starting to learn DSP (Matlab )and I have two questions about it, >maybe someone can help me out? > >I'm trying to measure a frequency from an Audio Device and I'm using FFT >to transform it from the time domain to the frequency domain. Cyclic Spectral Estimation (Matlab)
Cyclostationarity is a common property of man-made digital signals tha has a vast number of uses in digital communications http://spincom.ece.umn.edu/papers04/bib05eurasip.pdf To make use of cyclostationarity it is necessary to estimate the Cycli Cross Autocorrelation or the Cyclic Cross Spectrum of the receive signals. In a simulation how do I estimate these two values?? I have searched lot of forums, boards and mailing lists and I am unable to find a Matla code to estimate the Cyclic Cross Autocorrelation nor the Cyclic Cros Spectrum of noisy signal vectors. I have read some papers by Gardner and Giannikis but they are heavy i maths, that I am not good at, and no pseudo algorithm is presented to hel me implement it in Matlab. Maybe obtaining these estimates is so trivial that is considered commo knowledge or it is so hard to do that everybody is avoiding it?? If anyone knows of a function/program (Matlab ) to estimate the Cycli Cross Spectrum and Cyclic Cross Spectra of two modulated signals with AWG noise please let me know.. thanks _____________________________________ Do you know a company who employs DSP engineers? RTDX Matlab with DSP/BIOS
Hi everyone! I have a problem while using RTDX to exchange data between target DSK671 and host MATLAB. The problem is the following! When I am running th examples given by mathworks for comunications between the dsk and matla they run with no problem. But the thing is that the examples don't use the dsp/bios, rather the us their configuration files, and I would like to use the dsp/bio configuration file. When I am using the dsp/bios for the configuration I always receive a timeout from the matlab everytime I want to read a msg. And I already los some time to solve this problem, but the timeout is always appearing.. Question for maximum likelihood estimation in matlab
Hello all, I am relatively new to matlab and I came up with a project that I have 39 numbers and I have to find their distribution. I performed a liliefors test and I found that the distribution is not Gaussian. From an example in bibliography I know that the specific data if it isn't Gaussian it would be gamma so I did the following : [phat, pci] = mle(X,'distribution','gamma'); but there are negative numbers included in these 39 numbers and it can't be gamma with negative numbers. How can I possibly found which is the right distribution? Is it right to use abs(...

motion compensated frame interpolation in matlab

Complex FFT in DSP vs Matlab
