transparent emacs in linux

  • Follow

I would like to know is it possible to use emacs (X window) with
transparent background in linux. It would just be great.

One solution is to run emacs -nw from aterm with a transparent
background. When It loading all the plugins it looks just fine but when
it's finished it has a default background. How do I change it to use
aterm background?

Sounds like it's not using the curses color "default". I'm
not really familiar with ncurses programming but i would
guess you have to hack the sources to change it.
