Does anyone know what font is used in the Ralph Lauren logo? I ran accross
a web site that listed fonts for lots of famous logos, but I failed to
bookmark it. Does anyone have a link to this site?

Thanks,

couple of questions on font-smoothing
. Also in my stock charting program. Do you why > these fonts remain blurry? If you haven't already, go to the Appearance pref pane. At the bottom are two entries for font/text smoothing. Play with these till you get the look you want. I suggest starting with Light and 12pt to begin your evaluation. --Fred In article <fmoore-86F35D.11150114072006@network-065-024-007-027.columbus.rr ..com>, Fred Moore <fmoore@gcfn.org> wrote: > In article > <waderameyxiii-C78311.13290413072006@comcast.dca.giganews.com>, > The World Wide Wade <... entries for font/text smoothing. Using tinkertool I've set it up for no font-smoothing 20 pt and below. Things look a lot better now. Tinkertool states that certain system level fonts are smoothed and there's nothing they can do about it at the moment. (They say they'be been discussing the matter with Apple.) My other question was "I was able to find a simple style sheet

Changing Font Style Globally
I wish to change the font style in my tabular environment to a sans serif. At the moment, I am surrounding each and every cell with a {\sf }, but surely there must be a quicker way. Something like \begin{sf} \end{sf}? I've not been able to find anything like it though. Also, I would like to separate each row of my table with a very thin line (say 1/4 pt) and only use the default \hline to divide different sections of the table. Is something like this possible? Thanks, Iggy Ignacy Sawicki schrieb: > > I wish to change the font style in my tabular environment to a sans serif. > At the moment, I am surrounding each and every cell with a {\sf }, but \sf is obsolete and should not be used any more with LaTeX2e. > surely there must be a quicker way. alternative font selection scheme?
I seem to remember there being a posting about this a while back, but for the life of me, I can't remember any specifics, nor find it by searching. Is this wishful thinking on my part? Or have my search skills deteriorated? Ideally, there'd be a scheme for handling much larger font families (Univers is the specific example I'm grappling with at the moment). Thoughts, pointers and clues appreciated. William -- William Adams http://members.aol.com/willadams Sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow. William F. Do yo mean something called OFS? You can probably find it on CTAN, but I think it was mostly for plain TeX. Malte

setting text, change the font
Hello, Suppose I have a table like this : <table width = "580"> <tr align = "right" width = 760> <td id = "current_page_inner"> <font size="4" color="lightgreen" face="arial"><b><i> abc </i></b> </font> </td> </tr> </table> .... if I do in code : current_page_inner.children(0).innerText = "bcd" the text is changed to the new text, and the font doesn't change, but the font is not italic and not bold as the original. Why ? Thanks :) "Mr. x" <a@b.com> writes: > Suppose I have a table like this : > > <table width = "580"> > <tr align = "right" width = 760> > <td id = "current_page_inner"> > <font size="4" color="lightgreen" face="arial"><b><i> > abc > </i></b> I recommend against using the font, b and i tags. installation of font "Helvetica Cyrillic Upright"
Hi, I would like to use the "HelveticaCyr-Upright" font with TeX. I have the following files: hvyu____.afm hvyu____.inf hvyu____.pfb hvyu____.pfm Also, according to adobe.map, the TeX font name is phvr6w. I tried to fontinst, but it produces lots of errors. Any suggestion? (a) what fontinst commands? (b) what errors? i would guess (in the absence of any information) that you're using the standard fontinst commands, from someone-or-other's instructions. and that'll almost inevitably be for installing a latin font ... which this isn't. -- Robin (http://www.tex.ac.uk/faq) Fairbairns, Cambridge Yes, it is a cyrillic font as stated in the header, and indeed I bought it from myfonts. GS 8.13 ps2pdf font rendering problems
I just moved from GS 7.0 to 8.13 (compiled from source in HP-UX 11.11) only to find that I get font rendering problems when I use ps2pdf to generate a .pdf file from a .ps one. Some characters which display and print perfectly from the .ps file get quite distorted in the .pdf one. Is this a known problem? Font Renamer
Is there a font renamer for Postscript font files? This is a utility that changes the name of the font file to the name of the font, and (of course) preserves the extension. I have a renamer for TrueType. Thanks. John FIKE wrote: > Is there a font renamer for Postscript font files? There are a couple that aren't avaialble on websites, but are readily available at alt.binaries.fonts on request. One is a 5-year old command line utility, T1 Rename, by "apostrophe"; it automatically renames all t1 fonts in a folder. The other is a new one, quite powerful, that does both T1 and TT. Its name is FontRenamer - not to be confused with the free Truetype font renamer available from Neuber, makers of Typograf. Some of the Font Management programs can also rename fonts, in addition to their font management and viewing capabilities. Prime among these would be Typograf ( http://www.neuber.com ). - Character Thank you for your help! Character <Char@cters.italic> wrote
