Old fashioned typewriter font?
Anyone know of a font that resembles an old fashioned typewriter?? The sort
of thing I mean is one where the characters are not quite level and you can
see an impression of the cloth ribbon.
TIA

Yes, there was one TrueType for Macintosh, freeware, called
"Armenschrift" (= poor man's font); I think I have it somewhere on the
pile at home gathering dust. It even imitated the holes in the "o"
letter when you typed too strong. Maybe you find it by searching the
relevant archives.
Best wishes, Christian.

There's (at least) two whole sites devoted to this :
<http://www.free-typewriter-fonts.com/Fonts.html>
<http://oldtype.8m.com/>
and unlike some other "free fonts" sites, these really are.
These got very trendy a few years ago, especially with the "X-Files" logo.
