Icon disappeared in kubuntu 6.06
Hi! I use Kubuntu 6.06, KDE 3.5.2. One day I was playing with themes and apperance and lost all my small icons. No Play, pause, stop, etc. in amarok, no icons in kopete, no icons in konqurer, even no cursor icons. "Big" icons are still there, taskbar, panel icons... When I create a new user, everything is ok. Do you know where icon settings are stored and how to reenable them? T23 Thinkpad- No warm swap: Cdrom<=>Floppy
Trying to install Warp4.0 with 3 floppies & CD. Goes into suspend (Fn,F4) but then does not recognize the CDrom drive after the swap. Using Dani's latest drivers & advice. Except for adding APM.SYS to Disk2. When I do that it will not suspend at all. Which APM.SYS are we supposed to use, anyway? I grabbed the one on my Desktop fp17, but I doubt this has the apm stuff for a laptop? eComStation 1.2 on Compaq Presario laptop
Posted this yesterday, but didn't see it on the NG. I recently purchased a new laptop - Compaq Presario R3140. I couldn't get my Warp 4.52 CDs to install on it. The first disk would load okay, but there was no keyboard response. Also, because of the new things on the laptop, I figured rather than trying to rebuild a "latest" version of 4.52, I'd try out eCS 1.2. I'm eagerly expecting it to arrive any day. So, I am curious if anyone else has tried eCS (or OS/2) on one of these newer Compaq/HP laptops, or am I gonna be the first? I figure these are fairly cheap lapt...

Can someone show me an example of a working etc/export file. I've read the Untunbu Server guide with no luck. I would like to try to mount users home dir. Laptop Freezing, fine when A/C power, help?
What is causing this to freeze? It usually will freeze after a few minutes of use when not connected to the power outlet. the battery is new (eBay), it is runing an external wireless card (orinoco), and the laptop is a z4600 HP Pavilion. I've just "discovered" something that may be of use for those with Windows XP Fast User Switching. The default setting for Eudora checking the owner.loc file is: x-eudora-option:CheckOwnerFreq=0. I changed it to x-eudora-option:CheckOwnerFreq=1. Now if I forget to close Eudora when I switch users, Eudora closes it for me when I open it as another user. That doesn't solve the sharing mailboxes problem for some, but it guarantees that I won't corrupt my mailboxes anymore by having more than one instance of Eudora running. -- Ron M ...
