FS/FF SCSI Interface, 9GB SCSI hard drive
I no longer have need of: * 1 x Castle Technology EtherSCSI Interface. Looks like this one: http://acorn.chriswhy.co.uk/32bit_Upgrades/Castle_EtherSCSI.html * 1 x Seagate Cheetah 9GB SCSI hard drive ST39103LW http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/specs/scsi/st39103lw.html Comes with 68 to 50 pin adaptor and optional length of 50-way ribbon cable. It's noisy but I think that's normal for SCSI drives. If you're interested in either or preferably both of the above, please make me an offer from zero pounds upwards. Buyer pays postage or collects from Cambridge. My email address...

FS: Apple IIe + Dual 5.25 Drive + Mouse Interface + SCSI + Hard Drive
I'm selling an Apple IIe equipped with the dual 5.25" drive, floppy drive interface card, standard 80-column card, mouse interface card, Kensington System Saver fan, a SCSI card (Rev C I believe, but I'll have to check again), and a 40 MB external SCSI drive. No monitor included (I don't even have one). Tested it to work booting from the hard drive, and reading the catalog of 5.25" disks on both the floppy drives. However, I have not tested it exhaustively, and have to sell it as-described. Cases are quite yellowed, but I have not tried retr0brite on them (I...

Virtual SCSI drive or IDE drive
Hello, I will be installing Fedora 10 VM (VMware workstation) on my laptop. What is advantage of a SCSI virtual disk versus and IDE virtual disk? How can I reclaim some of the (unused) disk space for the host operating system? Thank you in advance. SCSI as C drive not IDE as C drive
Hi, I have trawled Google Groups for an answer but have not got a definitive one so I am posting this question myself. I have a server with 3 SCSI drives. I have added an IDE drive (file drive) to the server also. I am currently installing SBS2003 and when doing so it brings up the IDE drive as the C drive which is not what I want. I want one of the SCSI drives to be the C drive. I read articles here that say this is normal and to overcome it I have to put SCSI above IDE in my boot order within the BIOS. The problem I have is that it is an AWARD BIOS and it does not have SCSI in it's 3...

Extract Firmware From SCSI Hard Drives And Tape Drives
Hi, Does anyone know of a program that can be used to extract firmware from SCSI hard drives and tape drives? I would also need a program that would allow me to flash new SCSI hard drives and tape drives with the extracted firmware. If anyone knows of a utility like this I would appreciate it. What is the best hard drive software for extra large scsi drives?
What is the better software. ICD or the Atari version. I want to hook up a 9 gig drive and not have 32 meg sections. Thanks.... I'd go with Uwe Seimets "HDDriver" software. How to read a Raid 5 scsi drive from a single scsi controller?
I am removing one of the raid 5 hard drive from a server and install it on a single scsi on a work station to see if I can access the data, but when I click on the drive it says: can not read, wanna to format? Any help is appreciated. Thanks It's not in any format easily visible, although you might be able to put the drive on a UNIX system and look at it raw. But even if you could, you aren't likely to be able to see anything useful. In a raid 5 set, the user data and error-correcting parity info is spread out across all the drives in the raid set. In the absence of the other driv...

SATA hard disk & 2 DVD drives
I'm building a new computer with an SATA hard disk for the operating system. My only IDE devices are a DVD burner and a DVD ROM. I think it would be best to put one DVD drive on each IDE port, each with it's own 80-wire cable. It would add clutter inside the computer though, and I don't yet have a second 80-wire cable. Both computer ports support Ultra DMA. Any thoughts on speed difference using one or both ports for my DVD drives? I assume it wouldn't matter for single-DVD drive use but that it might if I'm copying a DVD from the ROM to the burner. Than...

Adding hard drives to an existing SCSI controller
I'm dealing with an OpenServer 5.0.6 system, which is a new OS for me. I need to add SCSI drives to an existing system, which already has boot drives, and find that the "mkdev hd" utility insists that I know a lot of information about the existing hardware, including LUN's and other data. Is there a graceful way to extract that information from the boot logs, or a readable configuration file somewhere? I've gotten spoiled by the BSD UNIX style "fdisk -l" command to list the available drives on other UNIX or Linux systems. The system has multipls SCSI controller...

SCSI and IDE hard drive mounting problems
I got a blue and white G3 450 tower on ebay. It came with I think is the Single Channel Ultra2 LVD SCSI Card (Single) with 68 pin hook up and a 9 GB hard drive with OS 9.2.2 on it set to SCSI ID #0. I then install two IDE hard drives with OS 10.3 and OS 9.2 on them that I had gotten out of my other B & W 300 tower when I uped the capacity of it=92s hard drives. The drives are small 6 and 4 GB only. It booted from the SCSI OS 9.2.2 drive and mounted all the hard drives but froze after I opened a folder the first time all three drive were in and hooked up. I restarted and it booted again wi...

scsi hard drive clicks when computer is booting up
I have a question. I have a 29160 scsi card and a cheetah 36gig hard drive that clicks whenever I am starting the computer cold, it only clicks cold, because if I do a warm reboot I get no clocking. Is this normal? I have changed hard drives and get the same from both? ...
