Wanted: IBM Deskstar 46.1 GB hard drive logic board info
I need a logic board for a Dell OEM IBM Deskstar DTLA-304075, Sept 2000. I found one on ebay that was not Dell, made Aug 2000. From the pictures, the boards look nearly identical (one chip is from a different manufacturer). Here's the question. The Dell says "LBA 88,265,520 SECTORS". The Ebay one says "LBA 90,269,840 SECTORS". Could it still work? Have a new 18.2 GB Sun hard drive, would like to keep the current 4.2 GB drive in there...
Greetings! I have just recently received a new Sun hard drive (with a SPUD for fitting inside my Sun Ultra 30 computer). I have a few concerns, and I do not know enough about hardware to answer with certainty, so if anyone here has any tips or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate your input! It's a Fujitsu Model MAJ3182MC Ultra 160 SCSI/SCA2/LVD drive. The drive in the Ultra 30 is a 4.2 GB (the new one is a 18.2 GB) drive. It still works. Here is what I'd like to do. I'd like to put this disk in, along with the existing one, and it appears that two dri...

I have read an article that describes this process and it involves using a drive enclosure. The article mentions that the drive will have been reformatted beforehand is this really necessary? Report on the Seagate Wireless Plus external 1 GB Hard drive
One way to extend the iPads memory is to but the Seagate WiFi external hard drive so that you can access your music, videos, pictures etc using WiFi. I have been trying this Seagate Wireless Plus drive on the iPad2 and the Samsung Galaxy tab 2 tablet for a few days since receiving this drive. The only problem I have had is at times the wireless drive locks up and as it won't turn off the only thing left to do is to reboot the drive by holding the power button in for 20 seconds (something thats lacking in the manual but I found it out by searching the internet). This problem has ha...

1 computer, 2 hard drives, 2 Systems 10.3.3
Is it a problem to run 2 independent dos system (10.3.3) on one computer (TiBook G4)? One on the internal drive, and another on the external hard drive. I'd like to investigate "GarageBand", but my Tibook has a 10 gig hardrive, and I'd like to keep free 2 gigs, GB is way to large for my computer, close to 3 gigs. Thus if I could switch startup systems, I could play with GarageBand, without messing up the complete system. Old 486 Laptop
I've been given an old 486 laptop and have put windows 95 ORS2 on it - but the system only saw the first 500MB or so if the hard drive - I thought Partition Magic would see the rest but it hasn't - there is an option that says LBA support above 512MB - it was disbaled now I've enbabled it but no difference. I seem to remember having the same problem with an old 486 desktop and a guy at a computer company made me a floppy disk that installed some kind of driver or something that allowed me to see bigger hard drives - but I can't remember what it was called. My drive...

Q: Is is possible to use a 9.1 GB Hard drive in a NeXTstation Turbo?
Hello, I need some advice... I have a 9.1 GB Seagate Barracuda which I would like to install in my old NeXTstation Turbo. Unfortunately, It has a 80-pin SCA2-connector, but I hope that this can be overcome by using a SCSI adapter (i.e. SCA2 -> IDC50). Can this be done?
