configure missing in CVS

Hi,

I just tried to download the current CVS version from sourceforge. Running
'configure' doesn't work - for a good reason: there is no 'configure'
in the CVS-tree.

Any ideas?

If you want a configure, you have to

../prepare

it.

Hm. Not a single occurence of 'prepare' in either INSTALL or
INSTALL.gnu. It would help if INSTALL actually described the install
process, especially if it deviates somewhat from the usual
../configure; make; make install routine

The INSTALL file is maintained in CVS because it needs to be included
with each distribution release. But it describes the procedure
for a released verstion, not for building from CVS source.

For full instructions on building from CVS, please see:

missing configure in CVS project
Hello, I've downloaded gnuplot version by CVS and wanted to build the sources under Linux (Debian Sarge). In the install.gnu there is described that I must invoke "./configure" at first (linux usually). In the main directory is no "configure" file. But in the 4.0 release is a "configure" file. Is that normal, or must I copy the release configure file to the CVS version? Thank you. H. Duennbier H. Missing configure in ruby CVS: Build problems on Mingw

missing graphics?!
for some reason when I get emails that have graphics in them, they're all missing. sometimes a message pops up saying that the file is missing, and it references a folder where it should be (something like eudora/temporaryfiles/...) please help thanks gary Gary Beckwith <garybeck@adelphia.net> wrote: > for some reason when I get emails that have graphics in them, they're > all missing. sometimes a message pops up saying that the file is > missing, and it references a folder where it should be (something like > eudora/temporaryfiles/...) More information is needed here. Are you using the internal viewer or the MS viewer? What kind of graphics are you talking about - embedded graphics or graphics that have to be downloaded? (They look the same when viewed in a message, so if you don't know, you'll need to check the source code for the message to find out.) Eudora doesn't use any directory with a name like the one you mention. Could you be talking about the temporary internet directory? If so, chances are that the graphics are downloaded. When the graphics are missing, what do you see - nothing or a placeholder of some sort? When you get the message that the files are missing, does that happen when you first download the message, or later? The usual reason for messages like that is that the files have been deleted between the time they were originally downloaded and when you went back to view the ...

Graphics Mapping App?
Are there any OS/2 apps running -- besides XAct -- which would be able to plot a data set on a map background given geographical coordinates? Anything from Unix/Linux which has been cross-compiled? Graphical APPS replacement
Someone emailed me to tell me my icon choose utility wasn't working. Shucks. Such conglomerated tools have proven unwieldy, unreliable, and nearly impossible to maintain. For general systems configuration, I highly recommend webmin, available form various RPM bundling sites and from the Webmin site itself. For RedHat or Fedora specific configurations such as X and the security levels, RedHat is now unbundling the configurationi tools into distinct packages called system-config-network, system-config-printers, and others. ...

treatment of missing values in gnuplot
Hi, In the gnuplot manual (http://www.gnuplot.info/docs/gnuplot.html#set_datafile_missing) it says that the behaviour of gnuplot regarding missing values depends on: - wether the missing value occurs in the first or the second column - the using option of the plot command However, with the gnuplot I am using (version 4.0 patchlevel 0 with debian linux), I see the same behaviour for all examples given in the manual: the data line with missing values is ignored and the lines are not connected over the missing value. My question: is the behaviour I see a bug or is the manual of gnuplot out of date in this respect (I would prefer the latter)? regards Thorsten Meyer In article <d2hqrt$lt2$1@online.de>, Thorsten Meyer <news_a@meyier.de> wrote: >Hi, > >In the gnuplot manual >(http://www.gnuplot.info/docs/gnuplot.html#set_datafile_missing) >it says that the behaviour of gnuplot regarding missing values depends on: > - wether the missing value occurs in the first or the second column > - the using option of the plot command "help missing" says nothing about first column vs. second column.
