pre-rigged human characters
i'm looking for pre rigged or just plain modeled human characters.. i
have a project thats on a very tight budget thats going to require me
to use a character.. its going to be dark so the textures arent too
important.. i've never done a character and i dont think that my time
constraints will allow me to learn how to do this.. i've been lucky
enough to find several stock models for other elements but the
characters the most important now. i'm not looking to spend any money
so it would have to be royalty free stuff. thanks

There's a buttload of nice ones on your LW CD, Did you not install
the content? If not backup your current LW folder to a temp location,
install the content, and overwrite it with the one you backed up.

Yup, About 12 heads and maybe 5 or 6 bodies. You have to place them. :)
I think there's 2 or 3 full humans as well. Also check www.flay.com for
links to others. Pretty much no matter what you're looking for LW related
Flay should be the first stop. www.newtek.com / ftp://ftp.newtek.com the
second stop and then Google this group. Actually if people did that there
would never be any new posts here cuz EVERYTHING has been covered. :P
Ofcourse that's not as much fun... but hey... :)

This book does include some very good human models on the CD. However while
the book has a chapter about rigging I don't believe any of the included
models include skelegons or bones.
