Problems in Mac OS 10.3

Lightwave 'unexpectedly quits' when I try working in the Graph Editor
under Mac OS 10.3 - Newtek told me that they were still in testing with
this OS and couldn't offer any fixes. Has anyone else found a solution
to this problem? Or am I going to have to go back to OS 10.2? >:-(

-Alison

P.S. I don't suppose there is anyway to transfer the licence key to PC
for the time being?

Yes Newtek is aware of it.
Scott the new Mac programmer is working on a fix.
At this time it is unclear if it will be fixed before 8 comes out.
If you own 7.5 and a DUO dongle you can run Mac and PC version.

Yeah, I have the DUO dongle and disks for both Mac and PC, I just don't
know where to put the Licence Key number on the PC to unlock it there.

Well, on my PC, it's right under the Programs folder within lw itself.
Not buried any further down, just right inside the first main folder.
Hope this helps.

You will probably need a new number for use on the PC. Check with Newtek. Once
obtained, just create a text file called License.key with the authorisation code
in it and drop that in your LW Program directory.

Yes you have to register your PC version and get a separate license key file
for it.
Just contact Newtek and they will issue one for you.

Thanks, I was a little worried that I would need to pay for another
license but I guess not. Got it up on the PC now... I hope they find a
solution to the problems on the Mac soon.

Hi Alison,

Good to hear you got it working. While I own an iMac w/superdrive I have
always used Lightwave on the PC because the Mac just seems to have to many
issues with LW that the PC doesn't. Well also my PC renders a lot faster.:>)
I use the Mac mainly for DVDSP and some video editing which is what it seems
to be good at.
So I say just use whatever tool works best for the job at hand.

Let us know if you need any assistance on the PC Lightwave.

Cheers,
JS
