It was. Kind of odd, they had the last beta release yesterday.

Yesterday's release was a Gold Master, pretty much the same thing. It's the
one that's used to make the "final" metal disc.

I don't understand!
On the main Lightwave3d.com site, it's reported as released and
available....But couldn't find anywhere to download it from.
*So* frustrating as I already have my serial number for 9.0 from NTE,
just need to find a place to download it from!
Has being in Europe got anything to do with it? Do we (once again) have
to wait the obligatory extra time before we can get to play??
I hate it when you get to the party late! All the dips have gone and
the only sandwiches left are egg!

I downloaded it last night. I'm unhappy that they're charging extra for
manuals and media, but having looked at the new manuals - much better
than before. If the manuals are printed properly, I'll be glad to order
them; I'll pay that much for third party books anyway.
Message to Chuck Baker: It'd be good if you describe the manuals on the
ordering page, and possibly include them in the photos. Just something
like (xxx pages, softbound, color illustrations) would be fine. some
of us remember the previous edition of the manuals..
