Suggestions for visualization
Hi,
Sorry, perhaps totally off-topic. But maybe ...
I have a model with 100,000,000 points. It's something along the
lines of a molecular model. The model is computer generated
obviously.
What's the maximum polygon count for Lightwave these days?
Thanks,
Brian

I dont know if Lightwave has a limit on polygons, what I do know is
100,000,000 is way to much you`ll never going to be able to load/work with
that many points in lightwave (or any other 3d package 3dsmax, maya for that
matter)

Theoretically as much as your Machine/RAM can handle but only on 64bit
system since 32bit systems have 2/3GB limits.
But in practice i doubt you'll be able to load 100 millions points
object/model in ANY 3D software if is real geometry (not instanced).
