I am doing some graphics for a gaming clan I belong to and am looking for a
font that will match the type that appears on a real military type dog tag.
Anyone have any experience with these? or maybe know what font would match?

ZOOMING into an image I found here:

And here is a place for free fonts . . .
http://www.1001freefonts.com/

I'd compare the two until I found a match . . .

As a hint, it almost looks like a kind of courier font - perhaps someone
else will know.

I made a dog tag and posted it at:
alt.binaries.paint-shop-pro
It has the same subject as this message.

I used the Courier New font . . . chiseled it, shadowed it, etc . . .
perhaps this will help . . .

Font discrepancy between tag and CSS
I've got a document that StarOffice converted into HTML, and I'm trying to clean up the cuft that it generated. I put together some basic styles, and tied using them: the results are puzzling. The style definition is: <STYLE> <!-- @page { size: 8.5in 11in; margin: 0.79in } div.res dl dt { font-weight: bold; line-height: 3; text-decoration: underline; } div.res dl dd { font-size: medium; } div.res ul li { font: "Courier, ...

tag font size in html mode
I use the Clean font at font size 12 in xemacs. Whenever I edit html files, the html-mode changes the font size of tags to a larger font than normal text between tags. I would like the tags to be in the same size font as everything else. I have tried changing the "Bold" face, "Html Helper Bold Face", among many other faces, but I can not get the font size of tags to change. Interestingly enough, when I change either one of those faces ("Bold" and "Html Helper Bold Face") through Options -> Edit Faces, the sample text next to them is always...

Font Book in Yosemite is back to being a dog
Still working out the kinks... Font Book was nearly unusable (for me) in Mountain Lion. It would routinely take minutes to start up. In Mavericks, that time was greatly improved... and it was back to opening in a few seconds. Well... in Yosemite, it's back to a few minutes. I have 665 fonts in my folder... but only a dozen, or so are enabled. I'm going to have to go back and startup with my beta version of Yosemite and see if the problem persists... or if it's new to the release version of Yosemite. -- Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company. -...

Can you set CSS to override font tags?
We have a content management system which allows our users to enter html into pages on the site but they often just paste in from Word and fill the site with word and html tags. Our content management system will attempt to clean the code but leaves some tags like the font tag untouched. Ideally the management system would allow us to filter all tags we don't want out. But is there anything in CSS which may also help to override font tags and other html tags users inadvertently add to the site? <pre> tag font and size
I'm authoring an XML document and using the <pre> html tag for the portions that are not dynamically generated. The <pre> text is displaying in a smaller font size (and I believe different font) than standard text. CSS class and tag font sizes using em.
Hello, I work for a local council and have recently been part of the project for a new website design which went live at the end of september at www.tauntondeane.gov.uk. I set the relative sizes on the CSS so that the page would be best sized with Microsoft IE set to view:text size:Medium(which I assume is the default value) as not many people know that the size of the browser text can be changed. We have had some complaints that the text is to small when being viewed on AOL browsers. We have also be told (which I sort of already knew) that those who know how to change...
