How do i turn a selection into a brush stroke?

  • Follow

Actually I got three questions.

1. How could I turn marquee selections called marching ants into any
preset brush strokes in PSP8?

2. Also, I understand that most vector programs as well as vector
features of paint programs are limited in scope, are there any PSP8
script files that could automate rectangular and polar/circular
arrays? These are pretty basic features on most CAD programs, and
you'd think that CorelDraw, Illustrator, Freehand had them 10 versions
later, but no. The command flow on a CAD program's first version goes
something like this: Select the object/s you want to make an array of,
then invoke the Array command, or vise versa. A dialog box comes up
and asks you to specify the number of items, horizontal and vertical
distance between items if it's rectangular, amount of rotation in
degrees if it's circular, clockwise/counterclockwise, rotate (or not)
items as they are arrayed, etc.

3. Are there any shortcut keys in copying objects other than copying
and pasting? Such as dragging/moving an object while pressing a key
duplicates the object; duplicates a rotated object at the rotated
area; duplicates a scaled object?

Any comment is appreciated.

To create a brush tip from a selection- fill th selection with black or
a grayscale pattern, crop to selection, and choose File> Export>Custom Brush
The "blackness" controls the opacity of later brush strokes using the tip.

Not built in, but you can build your own using the script tool in
interactive mode.

Go to the Keyboard Map Help> Keyboard Map. Look under all commands.
If you don't find what you want there, you may be able to program your own
via Customize.
