PSP 8 screen capture question

  • Follow

I have just installed my PSP 8 on a new computer with Windows Vista and am
having a small problem with PSP's screen capture. I choose 'area' and then
go to the other program, say, a stamp catalogue, and define an area for
capture. Every time, in the middle of the area - usually a stamp - I get
the size in pixels of the area, e,g, 100x150. This sizing is caught in the
capture which makes the picture of the stamp utterly useless. I never had
this problem on my old XP machine. Is it some setting I am missing? Thanks
in advance for any assistance.

It may be a Vista compatibility issue. One workaround would be to simply
go the the program with the image you wish to capture and use the Print
Screen button on your keyboard to capture the screen then, in PSP, CTRL+V
to paste it as a new image in PSP. Then you can make a selection and new
image from any area of the screen capture that you wish.

Thanks Joe. You know, after a lot of experimenting and frustration, what
you suggested is exactly what I ended up doing. Works perfectly. Thanks
again!
