I've just bought PSP8 in the UK, and find it is Version 8.02 (US). I know
the current release is 8.10, so wanted to download an update patch. The JASC
site has a downloadable patch for 8.01 to 8.10 (psp810enp.exe), but makes no
mention of an 8.02 version. I notice the Digital Workshop site offers two
other download patches, from 8.01 (PSP810USp.exe) and 8.02 (PSP810IEp.exe)
but I can't get these to download for some reason.
Would it do any harm to use the wrong update patch (ie, psp810enp.exe)?

If you have a us English copy (check hoe Colour is spelt ) then you
want
PSP810USp.exe - Size: 24MB - Approx Time: 100Mins @ 56Kb
And Digital workshops site seam's to be working for me just now

It spells it as Colour, so I assume it's an international English copy,
though the About says "Version 8.02 (US)". I used Opera rather than IE,
which did download the 20 MB file, so I now have psp810IEp.exe downloaded,
but not yet executed. But it sounds like that's the one I should run.

I took a look at the UK site, then went to the Australian site at
http://www.comm-unique.com.au/
The download links all go back to the Jasc main update site. Perhaps it
doesn't change the language features at all, or all are included in the
update. Go ahead and update, you can always reinstall back to the previous
version.

That is correct.

That is correct.

Yes.
Version 8.02 is _not_ a US version but international English.
Get the appropriate patch from the JASC download site or from your
distributor (if you prefer that).
If the patch for the US version doesn't simply refuse to run, it will
surely disable your version of the program.

Yes, I ran it and it duly upgraded to 8.10 International English. It would
have been nice if it had told me there was an update patch available when I
registered the copy online, though.
