www.fastpictureviewer.com has released a high quality codec for
Industrial Light & Magic's OpenEXR format for Windows 7, Windows Vista
and Windows XP SP3.
The codec comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavor and extends Windows
Explorer by enabling thumbnail views of OpenEXR files and returns
16bpc/64bpp RGBA floating point data.
Additionally, users of Windows 7 and Windows Vista can open files for
full-size viewing using the system's built-in photo viewer. The codec
also extends Windows Imaging Component -enabled application, such as
Sony's Vegas Pro, enabling them to open and import

ATI Catalyst 10.3 Preview Edition
I read a review on ATI Catalyst driver ( @ http://www.legitreviews.com/arti=
cle/1253/1
) and they mention that there is a new 10.3 Preview Edition available.
According to the review, certain applications (mainly games) really
speeds up using that new driver.
The driver is supposed to be available from

I use the computer and the Net on a regular basis but I don't know a whole lot about it all, especially when it gets technical. I have an Acer Aspire AM5100-U5300A. Visualization development help
Hi,
I need to generate a Treemap of our syslog and database logs, with
zoomable user interface (ZUI). What programming language or libraries
will help me achieve this? My programming skills are in C/C++/Perl and
awk.
Any advice and information is appreciated.

[ANNOUNCE] Jun for Java (Jun734)
We have released a new version, 734, of "Jun for Java".
The major changes since the version 729 includes:
* (modification) JunButtonController and
JunTrackSliderController are modified not to use graphics
of its corresponding view directly. Or its sibling Swing
components may be repainted unexpectedly.
* (modification) JunOpenGL3dObjcect and its subclasses define
'isCompoundEmpty()' method for simplifying
JunOpenGL3dModel#isEmpty().
* (new feature) JunOBJWriter is a class to generate Wavefront
OBJ/MTL files from JunOpenGL3dOb

We have released a new version, 729, of "Jun for Java".
The major changes since the version 721 includes:
* (new feature) JunDummyWriter is a class just for counting
the size of the written characters.
* (new feature) JunOpenGLCatalogModel is a class for
showing/manipulating several 3D objects in a window. It
also can save/load the 3D objects as LST files, and can
generate an HTML file for showing the 3D objects in the
catalog.

A major effort in scientific visualization has just been launched at
www.projectcosmology.net. This will be an attempt to provide 3D,
interactive graphics for all phenomena (physical, life and civil
sciences). It will be for scientific visualization what the genome
