Win2K Installation problem

  • Follow

Hi,

My PC stopped to boot for few days.
It happened like this: one fine night while booting, it got rebooted
while showing the graphical progress bar (Win2K).

It continued, so I had to take the decision of reinstalling the O/S.

Now when I try to install Win2K by booting from the installation CD,
it gives some STOP error (the deadly blue screen) and does not proceed
after the partioning and formatting the disk is complete.

The different errors that I get are as follows:
1) PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
2) KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
3) STOP: 0x0000001A MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

The error keeps on changing, as you can see!
And this maked me mad.

Could someone please help?

PC Config: AMD Athlon 700MHz, 128 MB SDRAM (100 MHz), 20 GB HDD, 52x
CR-ROM, 52x CD-RW

Thanks,

-surajit

1. Remove all adapters and disconnect all hardware devices.
2. Boot from the Windows 2000 CD-ROM.

May the Force be with you.
