US-OR-Portland: Software Engineering Manager 

SCOPE: Must have solid knowledge of all concepts of developing an
application in full life-cycle. This will range from initial
requirements gathering, to development, QA and release. Although this
person may not be coding on a regular basis, they'll need to be
hands-on in the development process. Project management skills will be
essential. 

DESCRIPTION: A position has opened for a Software Engineering Manager
with an international company located near Portland, Oregon. 

Manage a small "start-up-like" development team to support Lead
Generation and Sales in a stable and well-funded environment. 

Work with a very dynamic and highly innovative team. The ideal
candidate will have experience managing a group of software
development engineers, developing custom software and effectively
communicating schedules and milestone deliverables. 

Do you have experience managing complex software development in a
rapid deployment environment? 

Have you managed development of web-based business SW applications
through multiple releases? 

Experienced with n-tier architecture design environments? 

Do you like to work on projects with high visibility and direct impact
to the bottom line? 

You will interface with internal Marketing customers and will create
the technology for an Enterprise Marketing roadmap. You own and drive
the execution of all aspects of the technology roadmap. You will
manage and expand the current development team and will manage the
development, QA, and integration with other tools and internal
front-end applications.

Reports to IT Director 
Manages 5 developers (2 C++/Java, Oracle DB / Warehousing, 1 GUI, 1 QA
Hands on mgmt. (If dev. team gets bottlenecked, no where to turn?)
