Skills:       BSEE and 3+ years experience
              Exp with reference board design, using schematic capture
              programs and familiarity with PCB layout software.
              Knowledge of proper PCB layout principles for analog signal,
              ESD, and EMI integrity.
              Ability to debug hardware issues using debuggers,
              oscilloscopes, in-circuit emulators, etc.
              Required software skills: C++, Assembly language, embedded
              IC programming experience, knowledge of VHDL/Verilog.
              Experience working directly with customers; demonstrated
              strong communication skills.
              Experience with FPGA programming and/or verification.
              Experience with mixed signal IC's and mixed signal board
              design and debug.
              Experience with signal demodulation techniques.


Scope:        Applications engineer responsible for reference board
              development, IC validation, and technical customer support
              for mixed-signal IC. System-level board design, including
              schematic entry and management of contract PCB layout/fab.
              System-level board debug and validation: hands-on lab
              evaluation, reporting results to engineering teams.
              Mixed-signal audio codec IC validation and debug. Technical
              customer support. Design, procure, and support lab test
              suite/equipment for validation of mixed signal codecs.
              Develop technical documentation (reference design
              schematics, product design guides, app. notes, etc.
